In a bygone era, there lived a man blessed with two daughters. Both of his children were girls, and they had reached the age for marriage. One fine day, the man embarked on a journey across the water to visit a neighboring town. Little did he know that his life would soon become entwined with an extraordinary opportunity.
Upon reaching the neighboring town, he came to learn of the King of Garin, a wealthy and prominent figure who had been searching for a suitable wife. The townsfolk had made many attempts to find a bride for the king, but all had proven unsuccessful.
The man found himself in a dilemma. He pondered the situation, considering the prospect of returning to his family with news of this opportunity. It was then that his eldest daughter, Mpunzikazi, expressed her willingness to marry the king.
Overjoyed by his daughter's willingness to marry the king, the man resolved to make the necessary arrangements. He called upon his relatives and friends to accompany Mpunzikazi to the town, where she would become the king's wife. However, to everyone's surprise, Mpunzikazi announced that she intended to embark on this journey alone, without any companions.
With unwavering determination, Mpunzikazi was ready to embrace her destiny and make her own path in this remarkable story from the Bantu people of Africa.
